COME PLAY ON THE IMAGINATION PLAYGROUND!! THIS INDOOR PLAYGROUND IS SUPPORTED WITH FUNDS FROM THE FRIENDS OF FISKE.  

MEET PRESTON, THE THERAPY DOG
 
THURS. AUGUST 10 -- 11:15 &  FRI. AUGUST 25 -- 11:15
 (Preston is an 8 year old Great Dane certified as a therapy dog who lives with Ray & Geralyn Rose of Wrentham). Drop in, no registration required.


A VISIT TO THE FIRE STATION 
WHEN : Wed., Aug. 16
TIME : Meet at the Library at 10:00AM
 

Fire Truck enthusiasts meet at the library for a “Fire Story” and then walk over to tour the Wrentham Fire Station and climb on the trucks!!! Program is free but canned-good donations will be gratefully accepted for the Wrentham Food Pantry. RAIN OR SHINE! Sign-up at the circulation desk.

TOUCH A TRUCK

Truck enthusiasts are invited to hear a good “Truck Story”, check out a truck book and touch and climb on trucks from the Wrentham DPW in the library parking lot!! Program is free but canned-good donations will be gratefully accepted for the Wrentham Food Pantry. Sign-up at the circulation desk.

FAIRY TALE FRIDAYS WITH PRINCESS BRYANA
WHEN : Aug. 4, 11, 18, and 25
TIME : 10:30am

    
Do you love Fairy Tales?? Sign-up at the circulation desk for a special storytime session with Bryana Ringler. Come dressed as your favorite Fairy Tale character! Programs are free but canned-good donations will be gratefully accepted for the Wrentham Food Pantry.
Programs will be held outdoors, weather permitting, inside if raining.


SUMMER DROP-IN CHARACTER STORYTIMES

Join Miss Liz, dressed as her favorite book characters for stories, songs and parachute play.  Feel free to wear your favorite costume if you'd like!

FISKE LIBRARY TO HOST HATCH THE CHICKEN

WHEN :  Wed., August 9

Homestead Sabrina from StarGazers Farm, provider of “Rent The Chicken” will be here on August 9 with a presentation about chicks hatching. From August 9th - August 29th the eggs will be incubating. Between August 29th and 31st, baby chicks will hatch! From the hatch until September 13th baby chicks will be available for viewing and petting with supervision.  “Rent The Chicken” was established near Pittsburgh, PA. by Phillip and Jenn Tompkins in 2013. “Rent The Chicken” has farm agreements in over 35 locations in the United States (including Williamsburg, MA) and nine locations in Canada. Star Gazers Farm is a backyard homestead that strives to have a more self sufficient lifestyle. They are located in the hills of Western Massachusetts on the outskirts of Williamsburg. They have a range of animals from small (ducks, rabbits, chickens, geese) to large (cows, pigs, sheep), and thoroughly enjoy their farming life. They are egg-cited to offer the service of “Rent The Chicken” to Fiske Library.  www.RentTheChicken.com

Baby/Toddler Playgroups

Birth to pre-walkers with Mom, Dad or caregiver meets on Fridays at 9:30. Toddlers (walkers) to 2 1/2 with Mom, Dad or caregiver meets on Fridays at 10:30. Meet new friends, play with the toys and gym equipment purchased with funds from the Friends of the Fiske. No registration required, just drop in. If arriving before 10AM please ring doorbell. Come and join the fun!

FALL STORYTIMES
Registration begins August 31!!
TODDLER TIME (ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2) in Mom, Dad or a Caregiver's lap, Wednesdays at 10:30am.
PRESCHOOL Storytime (ages 3 1/2 - K) Thursdays or Fridays 10:30-11:15am.
Join Miss Liz for stories, songs, poems and parachute play. Children may come in on their own so if you have a baby/toddlet in the Friday playgroups your preschooler may attend storytime.
Programs are free but canned-good donations will be gratefully accepted for the Wrentham Food Pantry. Call 384-5440 to register or if full leave name to be called for the following session.

  OPEN HOUSE WITH OAK KNOLL WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
WHEN : WED. SEPT. 20 (half day for Wrentham Public Schools)
TIME : 1:00 - 4:00
Calling all nature lovers ... You are invited to DROP IN ANYTIME between these hours to meet and touch a live box turtle, turtle shells and MANY more nature items. Interested in cockroaches? We've got a surprise for you!!
The Imagination Playground will also be open so stay and build!
Program is free but canned-good donations will be gratefully accepted for the Wrentham Food Pantry. This program is supported with a grant from the SWEATT FUND.
