Fiske Public Library Policies - General

Cell Phone
As a courtesy to all library users cell phone use in the library is limited to urgent or emergency situations and is allowed only in the foyer. Patrons accompanying children may use a cell phone in the Children's Room.

Excessive Fines
We have found that some people have not been able to borrow passes or attend programs because space has been filled, sometimes by patrons whose borrowing privileges have been blocked due to excessive fines.

In fairness to all, the Board of Trustees has adopted the following policy : Fiske Library refuses access to any library-sponsored programs and passes if a patron is blocked for outstanding fines or for fees resulting from loss of library materials.

(Computer blocks patrons with over $10 in overdue charges, more than 7 overdue items or unpaid bills resulting from lost materials). Effective March 1, 2011.

The library now has wireless internet available. After reading the Internet policy for the first time you can sign-up and ask for the password at the desk.

Wi-Fi Hotspots
Courtesy of the Friends of the Fiske we now have Two Wi-Fi Hotspots available to Wrentham Residents!
If you are over the age of 18 and have a Wrentham Library card you can borrow a Wi-Fi Hotspot for up to 14 days.
With these devices you can connect a wi-fi enabled device, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet to the Internet. The Hotspot is portable, so you can connect your device almost anywhere, like at home, on vacation, or in the car in the USA. Will not work Internationally.
