	FRIENDS OF FISKE
	Interested in joining the Friends of the Fiske. Stop by the library and pick up a brochure with the form and all the information you might need. The Friends of the Fiske are working on a fundraiser to benefit the library. If we can get just 50 people who have accounts at TDBank to call the bank (508-384-8400) and mention the Friends as an affiliate (Use their code #A1204), the Friends will get a credit of $500 and it will allow them to raise the funds to offer more programs for us. It takes just a minute and does not affect your account in any way. You can call yourself or simply sign the bottom of the forms that will be available at the circulation desk and we will deliver the form to the bank for you. Thanks, as always!! 	Shaw's Register Tapes The program has been changed! For us to receive the 1% bonus you will need to go online to shaws.com/neighborhoodrewards and enter your card number and phone which will connect to the library account. Shaw’s will honor purchases on Tuesday-Thursday ONLY and you will need to use your Shaw’s card when you shop. Thanks for helping!
	Rental Gift Cards The Friends of the Fiske are offering a gift card that entitles the recipient to check out 12 free rental books. The cost for the card is just $10. Great gift idea!!
	Recycle NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES Recycle your newspapers and magazines in the bins located at the back of the library parking lot. By disposing of your newspapers, junk mail and magazines in the Abitibi paper recycling bins (green and yellow ones) The Friends of the Fiske receive $15 per ton. We have three bins - two conveniently located in our parking lot and one behind the Town Hall. There is no need to tie the papers or put them in brown paper bags (but we will take them that way too). Please do not put the papers in plastic (unless shredded), or cardboard or telephone directories in these bins. Thanks for pitching in and helping the library!
	Recycle INK CARTRIDGES AND CELL PHONES The Friends of the Fiske are also in the ink cartridge and cell phone recycling business. You can drop off used ink cartridges and old cell phones in the boxes located in the library foyer.
	Ongoing Book Sale Be sure to check out the ongoing Friends' booksale rack at the front of the library near the Circulation Desk and also along the back wall near the Genealogy/Local History Room. The Friends accept donations for these ongoing sale shelves (no text books PLEASE !!). Anything brought in that can not be used in the library collection (replacements for worn copies or titles not owned) or for the booksale will be put in the "Got Books" bin located in the library parking lot. "Got Books" also takes videocassettes, dvd's, cd's and textbooks. They give to assorted charities as well as the recycling effort. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Fiske and the library so thanks for helping!
