	NEW THIS MONTH
	News For Students & Parents : As you are about to start a new school year we want to let you know about the great resources we have at the library. We have several online databases that you can reach from home by logging into our website (fiskelib.org). Students from Grades 1-12 will find resources that can be emailed or printed out and saved. We realize how difficult it can be to get to our library sometimes and we think the databases will be helpful. The following is a sample of some titles: WORLD BOOK ONLINE ENCYCLOPEDIA, ISSUES AND CONTROVERSIES IN AMERICAN HISTORY, A-Z MAPS, SCIENCE REFERENCE CENTER, LITERARY REFERENCE CENTER, MASSACHUSETTS NEWSSTAND, ELECTRIC LIBRARY, CULTUREGRAMS (STATE & COUNTRY INFORMATION), SEARCHBANK INFOTRAC (MAGAZINES) and several others. ALL YOU NEED is a Fiske library card! Handouts and complete explanations are available here and at your school library.
	September is National Library Card Month!! The first 15 patrons to sign up for a new SAILS library card (you can not have a card at more than one SAILS library) will receive a $10 gift card and the next 20 patrons to register will receive a $5 gift card. (NOTE : You must be 5 years old to get a library card)
	Sammy is Back!!! Wednesdays with Sammy will resume on Sept. 1 from 3:00-4:00. You are invited to sign up to read to Sammy, the Yorki-Poo. (Not reading yet?? You can tell Sammy about the pictures!) Sign up at the circulation desk for a 20 minute session. Sammy, the three year old pup will visit the library each week with his owner, Elaine Clark, a retired Wrentham school teacher, who loves working with kids, dogs and books!!
	Fall Storytimes Registration for FALL Toddler Time (ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 in Mom, Dad or caregiver's lap) or Preschool Storytime (ages 3 1/2 to K) has begun. Join us for stories, songs, poems and parachute play. Call 384-5440 x21, or stop in the Children's Dept. and see Miss Liz. Programs are free but food donations for the Wrentham Food Pantry gratefully accepted.
