About the Friends of the Fiske
The Friends of the Fiske is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to fill funding gaps and allow the Fiske Public Library to offer quality programs and materials beyond what the town budget provides. This includes sponsoring programs for children and adults as well as upgrades to technology for the librarians and library patrons.
Who is a Friend of the Fiske Library?
A Friend of the Fiske Library is a person or family that contributes to our annual appeal fundraiser. A mailing is sent to each Wrentham household (Fall) for new and renewing membership. Patrons may sign up at any time of the year. As a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 22-2581040) your contribution to the Friends of the Fiske may be tax-deductible.
How can I help the Friends of the Fiske Library?
Donate Gently Used Books
The Friends are currently accepting book donations. Donations of clean, gently used books for our book sales should be given to a staff member at the circulation desk during regular business hours. Kindly do not leave books outside the library doors and do not place them in the cardboard bins in the foyer.
We do NOT accept the following:
• Books missing covers
• Books that have water damage or odor
• Encyclopedias
• Books with yellowed, aging pages
• VHS movies
• Magazines (those can be left at the front desk for the free magazine swap; current publications please)
Ongoing Book Sale
Be sure to check out the ongoing Friends' book sale rack at the front of the library near the Circulation Desk and along the back wall near the craft and puzzle swap areas. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Fiske and the library, so thanks for helping!
Donations
The Friends of the Fiske Public Library now accepts donations through PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to use the site to make a donation. Through PayPal, we can honor all major credit cards or receive your donation directly from your bank account. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
TD Bank Affinity Membership Program
The TD Bank Affinity Membership Program is designed to help The Friends of the Fiske at no cost to you! Whether you already have a TD Bank account, or open a new account, ask to join the TD Bank Affinity Membership Program and specify The Friends of the Fiske as your designated charity. There is no cost to you to join the program and TD bank will give YOU $25 for opening a new, non-interest bearing checking account. TD Bank will make an annual donation to The Friends of the Fiske based upon all TD Bank Affinity Membership Program accounts linked to The Friends.
Eligible Accounts Include
Checking – Business & Consumer, Savings, Money Market, Certificate of Deposit (CD), and Retirement.
What The Friends of the Fiske Receive
$50 for every new checking account
$10 for every existing checking account
1/10 of 1% contribution based on participant's annual average balance in savings accounts or CDs
Members’ accounts are not affected in any way by this contribution. Your account balances are kept strictly confidential by TD Bank. NOTE: The Friends of the Fiske will not receive any information from TD Bank regarding your accounts.
To Get Started
Call the TD Bank in Wrentham at 508-384-8400 to become a member of the program. Your account can be from any TD Bank branch. Ask to join the TD Bank Affinity Membership Program and designate The Friends of the Fiske as your charity of choice.
