Library Card Policies
Residents may apply for a Fiske Library Card (provided they do not already have a card at another SAILS library) at the Circulation Desk. Identification (ie driver's license) is required in order to receive a card. A patron who does not have their library card in hand, may still borrow materials upon presentation of valid identification, so library personnel can access their account. Lost cards will be replaced one time at no cost. Successive replacements will be $1, $2, $3, etc.

The Board of Library Trustees has instituted a policy that will charge out of state patrons $55 per year for a SAILS card. The card entitles the patron to the full services of Fiske Library and the network. There will be no additional assessment for any other family members. Massachusetts libraries receive no compensation from Rhode Island or any other states for providing service to their residents. The policy was effective January 1, 2009.

YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE ANOTHER PERSON'S CARD WHEN BORROWING ITEMS OR SIGNING UP FOR THE COMPUTER ***NO EXCEPTIONS***
